Noticed this gem when I was driving to work this morning. Looks like somebody h4xored the big traffic message sign on Pullen Drive just before Cates. A couple of days ago it was delivering the message: A1L YOU LISTEN UP!
NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN

But today's was even better.



First time I've seen social commentary from a road sign.

It's a mildly amusing "hack".

Very poor execution on the message however. At least "All your base - Are belong to us" would have been somewhat humorous.

my friend changed one to say LICK DONKEY DICK

instead of NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN

he said that they are password protected, but that the pw is just usually taped to the inside of the orange box, or the keyboard.

i noticed that sign the other day, except it said something like "hey you - listen up! signal ahead" or something. i just didn't think the "hey you - listen up" was really official. oh well..got my attention.

It may not have been hacked - I read a few months back that the DOT was going to start putting different messages on the signs so that people would pay more attention to them. Then again, I doubt officially they would tell people they are a mess.
