My monitor and hard drive power settings simply will not work. I've googled for an answer, but I can't find anything that helps. I've tried changing the settings and changing them back, disabling the screen saver, checked for new drivers, everything. I've had this problem once before, but just changing the settings then changing them back worked. Now nothign will.

hard drive is set to turn off after 1 hour, and monitor is set up to turn off after 30 minutes. Neither turns off at all.

Thoughts?

Maybe it is detecting slight mouse movements or something? Does the screen saver come up?

desktop. and it can't be bios settings, I haven't changed them in like a year or more. Power options just stopped working the other day.
