i was using my computer (sony vaio laptop) the other day and it kept freezing up (like the hd was spinning). after a little it made this strange noise i hadnt heard before kinda like (click clack...... click clack...... click clack)
at least once (i think twice) i got a blue screen saying something along the lines of "shutting down to prevent damage..." and i think the other time something like "...error, beginning physical dump of memory"
and a couple times on reboot i got "Operating system not found" and/or "hard disk error"
so do i need a new hard drive? anyone have one for sale (if i do)? 9/1/2005 9:30:58 AM |

The clicking is the sound of your harddrive dying/totally dead. You will need a new one. 9/1/2005 10:22:17 AM |
