I've been out of the gaming loop for a while. I want to get a game that wouldnt have too much trouble running on a 2 ghz pentium laptop. Im not looking for a fps though. Maybe something like Diablo 2, or a good rts game.

Any suggestions?

Sacred - Sacred Gold is the original patched Sacred plus the recent expansion.

Dungeon Siege 2 isn't bad. It should run for you. If not go for the original Dungeon Siege. It is sure to be cheap.

If you want to go the free route try downloading the Diablo2LoD mod called Chaos Empire. Once you play it you'll never go back. It has a paged stash system where you have an unlimited amount of stash space. It also has a shared stash that all your characters on the same CPU can access. The mercs are also able to carry full equipment - rings, belts, the whole 9 yards.

I'd much rather buy a more expensive game that doesn't have a monthly charge associated with it. $15 a month just to play a game is too much.

I have also heard of Divine Divinity (stupid name) but never played it - $15.00

Restricted Area is also out there - it isn't very good. Think diablo 1 but with a 2k5 release. There are about 3 environments to the entire game and the touted "unlimited randomly generated quests" boils down to -kill mutants, kill mutant, resuce guy. So three quests for three environments.

it's $20 if you want the full version. Which is a lot like jbtilley said, gets kinda repetitive but kinda cool. Also it's not online so you dont' have to worry about that.
