My girlfriend goes to UF for grad school so I pull for them all the time now.. Plus I've always liked Chris Leak.

That stadium is badass. I like it much more then that gayass Neyland bullshit. Neyland is too 'plain.' BHG at least has some character. Oh and less convicts running around on the field uncontrolled.

Definitely rooting for my alma mater to beat the Vols this weekend. There's no place as loud as The Swamp (nor should there be, with 25,000+ students taking up one whole side of the stadium, from goal line to goal line)!

The guy talking about tackling someone on Florida Field, reminds me of something. When I was a freshman at UF in 1994, the Gators earned a spot in the Final Four in Charlotte. I camped out for Final Four tickets, and they moved all of us inside the stadium for the night. At least when I was there, students were never allowed on the field -- and the goalposts haven't fallen in over 20 years -- but during this campout, they let us on the field for a game of touch football. Playing football in that stadium was cool, even if it was an ugly 15-a-side pick-up game where it took nearly two hours for anyone to score.

Even being a big Gator fan, I have to admit that some of the other places in the SEC, including UT, have a cool atmosphere at their games. Some friends and I went to see Florida play in Knoxville in '94, when the Gators shut out Tennessee. We feared for our lives at times, but did enjoy ourselves.

^^ just dumb.... too plain? not at all, downtown on one side, the river on another, mountains on the other, and the stadium itself with the checkerboard endzone that is VERY unique and definitely not plain, one of the largest jumbotrons in the country, and the structure itself just towers over, if you are down near the field you just look up and almost get dizzy. However, that being said, I agree that the Swamp is just as impressive as any other field I have been to and love going to games there... especially the last two

And Florida has had just as many "convicts" over the years: Channing Crowder's thug ass was crazy, Jarvis Herring, Taurean "threw a KEG, a fucking KEG at someones face" Charles, Jabar Gaffney was a fucking career criminal, Mo Mitchell, Brian Crum loved to knock random peoples side mirrors off their cars, Steven Harris , list goes on an on...

I was talking out of my ass. I'll root for UF but I don't even dislike UT. In NCAA03 I won some money with them in a dynasty I had. The bomb to Kelly Washington was money.

I just like to post things that I know people will argue about.

^^ and? thats not a "stretch" at all... its a BIG part of any field and its not just the generic "TEAM NAME"... thats like saying the logo or image on the 50 yard line isnt important... sure it is

Im going to the game and Leak is gonna do that shit up.

The UF Stadium is ten times better than States because the stadium is on campus, quarter mile from a street full of bars, near all the off campus housing, and just plain fucking better.

anyone watching the game look for a guy in a NC State Athletics shirt in the student section in the endzone near the band.

Yeah, i agree that I dont think UT is going to win, they have more overall talent then florida but Meyer's scheme is the PERFECT system to take advantage of really aggressive defenses which is totally what UT is. I am predicting at least twice the following will happen:

leak will roll out on an option, a CB will give up coverage on his man to close in on Leak because he thinks he is going to run it, Leak pulls up, the CB realizes it, tries to back peddle, Leak lobs it right over the jumping CB to Chris Jackson who gets 80 yards after the catch because the CB is out of position after jumping for the ball. Mark it down. I know our dumbass secondary too damn well.

I think LSU is a better team than Florida but I think we have a better chance beating them than we do the Gators

from CFN:

SEC Game of the Week
Tennessee (1-0) at Florida (2-0) CBS 8 p.m. ET

Why to watch:
It's not an overstatement to say this could turn out to be the season's most important game with ramifications for the national title, as well as the SEC championship. It's the first real test for Urban Meyer in the big-time spotlight facing the best team has coached against since, well, ever. In his two years at Bowling Green and two years at Utah, Meyer only coached against two teams that were ranked at the time, Oregon in 2003 and Pittsburgh in the 2005 Fiesta Bowl, with neither higher than 19. Tennessee had a shaky start with a tougher-than-expected 17-10 win over UAB, but it had the last two weeks to prepare and focus on nothing but Meyer's offense. This should be a classic.

Why Tennessee might win:
Can the spread, as Meyer runs it, work against a really, really fast defense? It's certainly an effective attack, but Tennessee has the speed in the back seven to hang with the Gator receivers, and the talent on the defensive line to plug up the holes. This isn't just a big test for Florida, it's a big test for college football's biggest offensive trend. There's no question that Chris Leak is a talented quarterback, but he has enjoyed ten days to work on each play with little to no pass rush to deal with. Considering the spread is all about timing and precision, the speed of the game is going to crank up to 11 for Leak this week.

Why Florida might win:
If Tennessee could have so many problems with UAB, dealing with Florida really won't be a picnic. Lost in all the hoopla over the Florida offense is a defense that could grow into the best in the SEC. At the moment, it's fifth in the country after surrendering a total of 384 yards in the first two games and hasn't been threatened when the outcomes were still in doubt. The Tennessee quarterbacks threw three interceptions against UAB; Florida's secondary is much, much better. With The Swamp sure to be rocking, the Gators will feed off of every mistake. Tennessee's offense might have to be perfect.

Who to watch:
Rick Clausen was the best Tennessee quarterback this offseason, but the coaches desperately want the more talented Erik Ainge to step up and take over the job. It hasn't happened yet. Ainge hasn't been sharp in practices and went five of 14 for 57 yards with a touchdown pass and two interceptions against UAB. Clausen has been a smooth, steady leader, passer and proven winner after being thrown to the wolves against Notre Dame last year. He went 17 of 24 for 217 yards with a touchdown and an interception against UAB, and now he gets the starting nod. Both quarterbacks are going to see time with the hotter hand getting the work in crunch time. For Florida, the play of RB DeShawn Wynn last week brings another element to Meyer's offense. The weapons are there for the passing game to work, but after a 101-yard, two touchdown rushing performance against Louisiana Tech, Wynn has shown there's a ground game to worry about. Now he has to stay out of Meyer's doghouse.

What will happen:
It'll be a classic on par with last year's epic 30-28 Volunteer win. Each team will trade some big shots, but expect more of a defensive battle than the normal fireworks display the two usually put on. When just about everything appears even, go with the better quarterback on the home team. This might not be Leak's Heisman coming out party, but it'll get him in the discussion.
CFN Prediction: Florida 23 ... Tennessee 20 ...

That grandstand is all students - behind the visitor's bench

A&M allows around 27,000 student tickets each game at Kyle Field (capt. ~ 90,000), which is by far the most tickets allotted for students in the nation
