Unquestionably one of Nickelodeon Bests cartoons: It was unlike other children shows, which tended to sugarcoat everything . Rocko was like the seinfield of cartoons. Rocko dealt with every day events such as going to the supermarket while facing a stampede of shoppers , all their for the extremly low discont items at the market, grumpy neighbors , teaching a super mom to drive , and of course tolerated Scottish music. Without a question Rocko is the best nicktoon ever, up their with Garfield and Friends and Animaniacs! Is Season 1 and 2 on dvd yet?

Anyway, neither "Garfield and Friends" nor "Animaniacs" were Nicktoons. The definition of a Nicktoon isn't at all mysterious or ambiguous. A Nicktoon is an animated series independently produced by Nickelodeon. It's a fucking brand.

I only said they were partially nicktoons , only because Nick bought the syndication rights from both CBS and Nickelodeon! The serious question is, that indeed Rocko's is the best nicktoon ever produced on nickelodeon. I think it was one of nick best cartoons because the creaters and the nick producers at the time did not solely focus on the promotion of toys and movies like some of the nicktoons now tend to do. Spongebob a good cartoon , but do not ever compare spongebob to Rocko. They are totally two different characters. Spongebob is annoying and Rocko's is sensitive and a 5 :00 shadow kind of guy . I dare anyone to state differently
