I have one and i really like it. Windows Mobile for Smartphones is awesome. Theres alot of stuff that customisable and since it has windows media player 9 mobile you can watch video and listen to music on it.
I converted a few episodes of scrubs to .wmv at a resolution the size of the screen. Play back is good and its very nice to have when im just waiting around for something.
It also has a scaled down version of internet explorer that works very well. It autofits TWW to the phone screen and it does it without making a mess.
The phone itself seems to be very durable. It is a nice size and is well built.
The only problem is that there is no onscreen keyboard. That might have made it easier to type than using the phone pad.
Of course this could be fixed with software. And someone may have even already written one and i jsut haven't found it yet.
I really like it. JonHGuth has one as well and he'll probably drop some info in here as well 9/16/2005 3:50:59 PM |

love this phone
went ahead and got a 1GB card for it. right now I have a full length movie, some tv shows, lots of mp3's, a paper, and a few pictures stored on the phone. windows media player is awesome and you can convert your videos using windows media encoder (there is a setting for smartphone, it cant get any easier)
the internet explorer works pretty well, you can put it in column mode so there is no sie scrolling for most sites. can't login on tww though.
the size and weight are great. its thinner than the s710a and i like the way it fits in a pocket a lot better. i have gotten a couple scratches on my screen but thats because i just kinda throw the thing in my pocket. you can get some little clear covers that work well to protect the screen if you would like.
for phone function it works well. i havent had any problems with reception or anything like that. the volume isnt as loud as my motorola was but its loud enough to get the job done, and i think the speakerphone works better than my motorola did.
there are all kinds of software and games available for free or purchase for this phone. you can also completely change the look and functionality of the home screen and menus if you would like. i found a homescreen i liked at http://www.modaco.com and have changed some things editing the registry (the most useful tweak being changing the right softkey from contacts to windows media player)
syncing with the computer is really easy. i use outlook so my calender and contacts sync up using microsoft active sync, its really easy. the notes part of outlook need a third party program to sync (i like smartphone notes). syncing with bluetooth is a little more difficult and sometimes got frustrating, but the supplied usb cable is really easy to use. i also have the phone setup so it checks my email (gmail) every hour (you can set it up for as much as every 15 minutes but i dont need to get emails that quickly and its better for battery life if you make it longer)
battery life is fine. if you are just using the phone you can get two days no problem. if you are playing around with windows media player, agile messenger (a nice free instant messaging program), or playing some solitiare it will still get you through the day.
i really like it, i dont think an onscreen keyboard would be practical on a device this size. once you get comfortable with t9 you can type pretty fast
right now my only compaint with the device is some paint flaking off on the scroll bar 9/19/2005 1:23:56 PM |

You're having trouble logging into TWW?
I was able to login and get the cookie to save my login info and i've posted with it several times. It does have a problem with the message board selection drop down though. 9/19/2005 1:29:36 PM |

on screen keyboard like in pocket pc. Where it displays a keyboard on the screen and you punch the keys in there. It would be easier to do it with the directional pad than with the phone pad. 9/19/2005 6:40:32 PM |

i need to edit my list, for some reason i accidentally added "47" as one of the possibilities for hitting 4-7 annoying when typing "is" 9/19/2005 7:13:57 PM |
