man, compared to years past, it REALLY sucked this year. I thought it was completely unorganized, and the people in charge had no idea what was going on. The costume contest was a disaster IMO. Oh well, the people were fun and costumes were good as always. I just wish it would have been run a little smoother.

There were a lot of people there, too, but still....

well its almost 8 am and i just got back from partying my ass off from all that shit.

It's a really random thing I saw this thread in the lounge and decided to post my opinion but here it is.

THAT SHIT WAS THE BOMB.

I was the circa 1920's gangster in the brown trench coat and gray/black hat, its the first year i actually dressed up for this and i'm curious if anybody noticed me, or if I remember seeing any of yall.

Really tho even after this cop was trying to make me wait in line all day to get a damn wrist band when I was there for a couple hours already and having him threaten me to go to jail it was still awesme. I just showed him whats up when it took me all of 5 seconds to get a wristband from the table instead. So I guess that added to all the excitement.

They only had cops at that one entrance so people could get in from any where else pretty easily.

I would have to agree with that, very disorganized, and the cops wouldnt let me back in even with an arm band at one point b/c it was "dangerously crowded" or some shit....but def some cool costumes...who was the girl with the shells?

It was actually very organized EXCEPT the costume contest.

I worked the entrance from 11:30 till like 12:15. We had to stop letting people in because the damn Fire Marshall decided we were over capacity.

Turns out we were nearly DOUBLE the actual permitted capacity. The pit only has a 600ish person cap, and apparently we packed in about a thousand, if not more.

It really sucks for the people who got turned away, but it was definitely the right thing to do from a safety standpoint, and it was a lot more fun when you could actually move around a little bit and see people's costumes.
