I got MM 2k5 last year. Had fun with it, but EA did a pretty shitty job implementing the motion offenses, in my opinion.

So I'll probably wait and see whether MM or College Hoops does a better job on that this year, and then make a choice.

I was told at Best Buy today that MM 2k6 is coming out in a couple of weeks, and based on info on the web College Hoops 2k6 is coming out in November.

alot more balance, updated graphics

Slam Dunk contest is a lil more forgiving (and more dunks) and the superstar moves are hot but not gimmies

Picked up College Hoops 2k5 tonight, just to see how it compared to MM.

Basically, everything that was wrong about March Madness is exactly right in College Hoops.

...so I know which one I'll be picking up this year.

What I've noticed about sports games is that graphics don't matter.

I only noticed the graphics in NCAA Football/March Madness/College Hoops/Gran Turismo for about 10 minutes, and after that I didn't give a fuck.

Graphics look great when you pause the game, zoom in, and do replays from the perfect angle. Too bad the game is not played that way. Drovkin hit the nail on the head. Madden for the 360 looked awesome. Then I realized... the camera will be pulled so far back that the level of detail really doesn't matter.

I couldn't wait, so I picked up MM06 yesterday. Probably will still end up getting College Hoops at some point during the season. And ^I don't have any intention of buying a 360 anytime in the remotely near future.

Fells and McCauley are straight ballers in the game.

I wasn't too impressed with March Madness when I played my neighbor's last year, and I'm reluctant to buy Sega's College basketball since they always seem to have dirty disc glitches. I'll probably try to keep satisfied with nba 2k6, which I already have.

MM is sort of like the NBA Jam of college basketball games. It's kind of fun, and the presentation is slick, but it has basically nothing in common with basketball.

College Hoops is a better simulation of basketball, but the presentation is much weaker (I want fight songs, not the freakin' ESPN theme song--but supposedly that's fixed this year).

For '05, neither one is quite what I'd want in a basketball game. All the previews of the new College Hoops sound promising, but it keeps getting delayed...

The story on the PS2 version is mixed--every site is saying it's coming out next week, but there are rumors that it's hitting shelves in some areas already...

I saw it yesterday on display at Best Buy and it actually didn't look that good. Wasn't in HD, though, for what that's worth.
