sounds like a rehash of the dinovo without bluetooth, the same crappy support, and branded for adolescent males instead of business professionals.

hahahah what a retarded keyboard.

mouse is retarded, but only because you REPLACED probably the best wireless mouse out with it. Because im sure you can tell the difference between 1000 and 2000dpi over usb1.1, on wait, you can't.

you sir, are the biggest moron. First off, its 800dpi - 2000dpi. And yes, yes you can tell a HUGE difference between the MX1000's response time and the G5's. Also the MX1000 is like 5.6mp versus 6.4mp. And since I have actually tried both, and you haven't tried either. I'll let you take your foot out of your mouth and stfu. And once again, neon shows he's not only a douche bag, but an idiot at that.

and on another note. It has just the right amount of buttons. Too many buttons kinda sucks when playing games like BF2. The fast switch between 400dpi, 800dpi, 2000dpi is pretty awesome in BF2. When using a sniper weapon its perfect between 400 and 800. When flying its perfect for 2000. 2000dpi is so sensitive you can make a 360degree turn in BF2 without barely moving your mouse.

[Edited on October 10, 2005 at 1:45 PM. Reason : plus wireless sucks once you go back to hardwired.]

heh yeah that is a pretty awesome mouse, they run about 69 bucks at the bookstore and 57.50 from zip zoom fly shipped with no tax.

I'd get one if my mx510 wasn't just fine for me anyways.

I don't like that keyboard though, I'd rather spend half as much and just get something less gadgety. A gimicky lcd screen and some lights and shit seem kind of pointless (for me at least) considering I pretty much never look at the keyboard when I'm playing or typing or ever

well granted its not retail prices so it really isn't 70bucks for me....but still its worth it. the itunes display is pretty neat. Plus the CPU and Mem stats displayed on the keyboard is pretty neat when playing games. (doesn't peak past 50%). I hvaen't tried the outlook or in-game stats displayed yet though.

just try the G5 you'll see why.

plus i got tired of forgetting to charge my mouse...it lasts maybe a week before its red then shuts off. So i use it with my laptop on my laptop desk in my room. And the gaming rig is in my office.

I wish someone would make a decent trackball. my logitech trackman marble+ has been going strong for about a decade now, but it would be good to have a little more functionality on it. I'll never go back to a mouse for gaming

I still just want a keyboard with the numpad detached (but still make it attachable to the main board on either side). I would also like the Ins/Del/Home?End/PgUp/PgDn and arrow keys moved or removed. I want there to be little to no space beyond the basic keys on the right side so my mouse is closer in. At the very least I'd like the numpad, Ins/Del/etc, and arrow keys placed on the left side of a keyboard.

you should buy my old backlit keyboard, it has a detachable number pad for either side

backlit keys aren't that important but in gaming they can come in handy. but for typing you don't ever have to look at the keybaord.

The MX1000 is the best mouse out there.

If you are blaming your mouse on your inadequate gaming skills, you need more practice. Changing mouse resolutions isn't going to help you anymore than just playing more often.

If you think that having TOO MANY buttons on a mouse is a bad thing then you aren't using your resources effectively. Every single one of my buttons is mapped on my mouse, even the side-to-side scroller.

I also have every single key mapped on my N52....

LOL...time for me to be cocky...I didn't switch mouse because i sucked at anything. I switched mouse because its something better (in my opinion) and thats what i do. I buy computer shit every day to try shit out and see for myself what sucks and what doesn't...plus it helps me for my jobs point of view to know whats out there and whats good.

And as far as BF2 goes i went from rocking to uber rocking by switching mice. And i don't need every key and button mapped because there are only a few esential things you need to use to be great. Fire, reload, crouch, jump, prone, secondary fire (or zoom on sniper rifle) and giving commands....oh and moving....all that can be done with a select few keys. Only reason i like the extra 'G' keys on this new keyboard is for WoW and the likes.

and the MX1000 isn't the best mouse out there....if thats what you think is then you aren't doing something right.

A few macros off the top of my head that I use regularly..

hop in plane (enter vehicle) + turn off cockpit art
go prone + zoom (same button does the reverse)
throw hand grenade + switch to primary + reload primary (usefull when bang bang click click shit)
various radio commands

got a few others. Shit for Jedi Knight I had all kinds of macros.

i don't use macro's, my finger clicks are perfect...since i don't use the same combination of moves every time i hvae no need for pre-set game-play....plus moving your fingers to all those different keys takes too much time. my hands never leave the WSDA spot cause they can reach any key i use from their.

YOU REALIZE THE MOUSE IS USING USB1.1 RIGHT?

SO IT CAN HAVE A BAJILLION MP SENSOR, IT AINT GONNA BE A GODDAMN BIT MORE PRECISE.

No, you can't. You might THINK you can, but you can't. The only change in response between the two is going to be the MICROSECONDS it takes for that RF signal to reach with the wireless.

Please see the above ^ post on why THERE IS NO FUCKING DIFFERENCE IN RESPONSE. UNLESS THERE IS SOME MAGIC FUCKING DATA GENIE THAT IS PULLING COORDINATES OUT OF HIS ASS.

EVEN LOGITECH DOESN'T CLAIM ITS MORE RESPONSIVE, BECAUSE IT ISNT.

Try to FUCKING CALL ME OUT ON THIS.

Having a fucking 20000mp sensor on a USB1.1 line will not make it ANY more responsive.

Notice he never said a DAMN thing about precision here, but RESPONSIVENESS.
