Connect a Firewire (or USB, depending on your camera) cable to your camcorder. Rewind to beginning of tape. Open Windows Movie Maker Import video ... Profit

older camcorders dont have a firewire or usb cord
http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Home+Video/Dazzle/Digital+Video+Creator+150.htm Pinnacle's Dazzle is made for that though, and mine works fairly well it'll let you edit it before you burn it as well (though, I've not had much success burning with their Studio 8 (version 9 might have some improvements))
