i tried this before in chit chat, but to no avail.

i have this:

the problem: the headphones need to pushed hard into the hole and held there in order for any sound to come out. other than that, nothing is wrong

the proposition: fix it, or tell me how, and tickets to homecoming [which we will probably lose] are possible payment.

does the jack seem loose or like it's pressed into the device a bunch?

Open the case, push the jack towards the outside of the case, make sure all the leggs for it are still soldered in solid, hot melt glue the fuck out of it to hold it towards the outside of the case.

I charge per hour jsut to look at stuff, much less to dig out my soldering station and work on stuff. Loke I said, get a screw driver, and fix it yourself. A screwdriver, a hot glu gun, and the cheapest soldering gun or iron walmart has wills till be cheaper than me lookign at it.

well thanks, guy, for assuming that everyone is as handy as you are and can fix things themselves.

Open it up and at least take a look at it. If it looks too complicated you can always just screw the case back on. I would think that the audio jack has just come loose and might even be able to be taped back into place.
