I ordered a MP3 player from Dell and started having problems with it freezing up etc, was going to send the player back and after numerous attempts to reach someone at dell concerning the return policy I find out it could have been sent back within 21 day of purchase. Of course I have had the item for 22 days now this is the date of invoice not the actual date I took delivery of the item which was about a week later. Beware be very aware. PS you can't find out this information on the weekends. 10/18/2005 2:21:50 PM |

I have been using mine with zero issues...it crashed once because I plugged in an iTrip thing...but it hasn't crashed since.
Did you upgrade the firmware as soon as you got it?

You don't need to update the Dell Firmware if you don't plan on using music services with it. 10/18/2005 5:01:43 PM |

what would be the point of an mp3 player then? 10/18/2005 8:36:18 PM |

I should have mentioned subscription based music services.
No matter how hard you try, you can't try to justify the idiocy in a pack that's an iPod 10/18/2005 8:37:16 PM |

I just email Dell whenever I have needed a part replacement.
and comparing Apple with Dell is comparing a 1% market share with 33% market share.
Not to mention that if you need Tech Support even after using a lame Apple, you need to kill yourself.

Will you please STFU esgargs? I am sick of your Dell bullshit.
I've used the Dell Jukebox and I've used the iPod. So in my opinion, I can make the claim that Dell DJ is a worthless piece of shit and the iPod kicks its ass. But you won't see me going and sucking Apple's dick for that.
You, however, will clamp your mouth on Michael Dell's penis and you will never let go...for the life of you. 10/18/2005 9:19:00 PM |

are we still talking about MP3 players? Because iPod carries 82%.

Which I suppose is a compliment to buy a product that will not need customer support. But if 82% of us with an iPod ever do need help, at least the people we can ask face-to-face will speak English.10/18/2005 9:20:24 PM |

I hope you know Dell/Apple don't make their video card fans and/or hard drives.

yea...and they have a separate support team for the iPods.

.. meaning send it back and get a new one... he's not being a smartass he's just telling you that the solution here is obvious...
warranty's are there for a reason... use it instead of getting a refund, you'll actually get a new one that works, which of course is what you wanted in the first place...10/18/2005 9:28:32 PM |
