Im contemplating switching from computer science to information systems. Just not sure if I want to or not.
what opportunities can I expect with each degree once I graduate? 10/19/2005 8:47:07 AM |

csc is a much more respected degree - IS is a degree that would come from a small community college 10/19/2005 10:52:55 AM |

if you know your shit, MIS and IS are well paid, respectfull and rewarding (as far as seeing your work accomplished) jobs in the industry.
but nobody wants to hire you with one of those degrees unless you have 5+ years experience
i myself am doing csc degree and MIS will be my job 10/19/2005 11:22:22 AM |

Get your undergrad in CSC, get a Masters in MIS (or MIT, or whatever else you care to). If you really want some fun, find a support position in a univeristy while getting your Master's ... experience and degree rolled up into one. 10/19/2005 11:51:57 AM |
