The movie won best motion picture drama, director, editing and song at the Satellite Awards...and it picked up similar adulation from film critics' awards in Texas and Las Vegas. And, as ShinAntonio pointed out, "Brokeback Mountain" set a "per-theater box-office record over the weekend for any non-IMAX movie released in more than 50 theaters" (source: IMDb).

It looks like they're going to speed up the expansion schedule, so hopefully it'll be in Raleigh in early January.
