In virtually all areas, personal liberty should be maximized.

Education is not one of those areas.

Homeschooling should be out of the fucking question. If you want to teach your kids, you can -- but you can't take them out of school to do it.

And, honestly, if someone wanted to get rid of private schools, I'd be with that.

As a homeschooled grad, I take exception to that. I turned out just fine and most homeschoolers do. It just seems like all the nuts homeschool their kids and in turn give homeschooling a bad name.

Look kid, there's no such thing as a homeschool "grad." You graduate from actual schools. You don't graduate from your fucking house.

Parents should not be the sole indoctrinators of the children for the same reason that siblings shouldn't have kids together: if you don't get something new in there, the bad traits only gets stronger with each generation. And even if your parents are Joseph and Mary themselves, it's not like we can say, "Well, all the good parents can homeschool, but the bad ones can't." Not exactly a litmus test for that sort of thing.

You lack an experience that 95% of the population has had. This makes you inherently less equipped than you could be to function in society.
