for some reason my computer no longer "recognises" either of my digital cameras! wtf!

does it mount your flash card as another drive when you plug it in and just not recognize it as a camera, or does it make no acknowledgment that any device has been plugged in?

i dont have a flash card, i have a docking station for my kodak and a usb cable for my HP

either one causes it to say "unrecognised USB device"

XP and its a HP photosmart 435 and a kodak easyshare LS443

uhh, probably the very first one which is about 130 megs. Kinda stupid that you can't just download the driver separately instead of it being packaged in with their software.
