So I've got a JVC camcorder that keeps eating my tape when I record. Is there a place in Raleigh that can fix this? It's not under warranty anymore so was wondering if anyone knew a place where they fix these types of electronics without sending it to JVC.

i've got an HP Photosmart 945 (digital still camera) and i bought it about 2 years ago for around $500. it got fucked up and doesn't focus anymore. well it doesn't turn on anymore either. in any case, i call HP and ask there if they can repair it. they tell me that the camera is no longer in production, and they say that the only thing i can do is to go along with their exchange plan, they send me a different camera (that retails for 250) and i pay them $200 extra. well i said ok, whatever, i need a fucking camera. so i go for the deal, which is, they send me a new camera overnight, i take it, place my defective camera in the same box and mail it back to them. they charged my card instantly. next morning i check the tracking number, says delivered. but i never got jack shit. so i call HP they said oh, our bad. they sent the camera to someone in florida. so now they gotta wait and track that camera down before they can do anything else. i give them 3 weeks. call them, and being all pissed off, ask for a refund. and now it's been another 3 weeks and they still got my $. i called them about 3 days ago they said i'll have the money within a week. but it sure took them 5 min to withdraw it. in any case, HP sucks and i would not recommend their service to anyone. and the point of this post being, i still have a fucked up Photosmart 945 that needs to be repaired. not by HP. does anyone know of places around here that service digital cameras and shit cuz i also have a fucked up JVC camcorder that needs repairing but i'm afraid the camcorder question has already been answered.

Circuit City as well

...but the guys at circuit city wanted 800 to repair my mom's old jvc camcorder's power issue, and the thing was 6 years old..
not worth it..

if its just somthin simple it may be worth it to go ahead and have it repaired though

usually you're better off just buying new stuff now
esp. digital cameras, you can get a new camera with rather good quality under 200 now
