#5 was horrible, stay in the end zone, it nearly costs us a safety right then and there when he went back in.

1 it was #3 that almost cost us the safety, and 2 he was out of the endzone when he intercepted the pass so technically he went out in out in out

Yea don't get excited about a great win because the rest of the year has been pretty crappy.

Fuck you. For this game we bested a Top 10 team, plain and simple. Only way to not get excited would be if you were fucking USC and this was your 80th billionth win in a row.

Two more wins and we're bowl-eligible...and one of those can be MTSU.

Actually... he picked them in the selection towards the end. In the beginning he said his upset alert game was NC State at FSU, and said he thinks the Noles would lose another close one to the Pack.

We're also a productive QB away from being of VT's/Miami's/FSU's calibre (And yes, I know we just beat FSU). We'll get it together...have faith.

exactly

We don't need Rivers. Hell, if we had like a Marcus Hagans or even a Matt Baker we'd be a helluva team. You see what we can do vs. Virginia Tech and FSU. We just need some confidence and a respectable passing threat...we're really not that far away.

The record sucks, but when you view the entire picture...we're in good shape.

Well, this is the third game we've played well this season, and also the third time we've played a team in the top 25.

So BC damn well better still be ranked next weekend.

OH AWESOME THE "WE'RE CLOSE TO A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP" TALK IS BACK!!!1

NEVER MIND THAT WE STILL CANT BEAT OUR FUCKING IN-STATE RIVALS

OR CLEMPSON

NOTHING is solved. we can go to Idaho now, which is cool and what we should expect. But dont bring out this crap again, not until the coaches prove they can get us ready to play ALL the games, not just the ones against your former HS classmates.

maybe when we can beat FSU AND UNC we can talk about this.

I'd take 1 win over UNC over 10 against FSU.

We still have to win out, or this season is a wash.

Where the hell did I say that?

So you're telling me that if we had a QB averaging about 200 yds per game (Which is a decent outing) that we couldn't beat FSU, Miami, or Virginia Tech? You think we would have lost to shitty teams if we actually had a quarterback that could move the ball and that the team actually had confidence in?

Our defense is nasty when they actually try.... and that's while spending about 40 minutes on the field becuase we can't hold a damn drive. The reason we can't hold a drive is becuase the team just crowds the box and stuffs the run. The reason they do that? THE QUARTERBACK.

We're a good damn team.... we just have the worst QB situation in the nation except for maybe the NY Jets)

So... you think I'm lying when I say that we'd be in the upper echelon of the ACC with a halfway decent quarterback? It's the fucking truth... believe it or not.

I'm not delusional... I see it like it is. We're super talented but can't find a QB

Sorry...the QB never made his defense line up offsides or run into a kicker at key moments.

Well, like I said, we've gotten into the games against all the top 25 teams we've played this year, so I really hope BC's loss today won't knock them out of the rankings. We'll find out Monday.

I'm laying off a little bit on the criticism of Chuck from earlier, because we really seem to have fixed a lot of the problems that were killing us early in the season. At this point, a winning season looks realistic, and hell, it's even possible for us to go 7-4 now (and yet still have a shitty standing in the ACC).

the only way we can get a bowl is winning out

the acc has too many teams for its slots, and with a 3-5 conference record, we dont deserve a bowl, realistically.

I DID, however, predict a win over Fla. St.

Call me crazy and shit, but smileyNCSU can testify to the fact that I called a win over GT by three points. When it DID happen, and when we lost to Clemson in such a definitive way, then my prediction planets must be in align so far this year.

That being said, if I were to make a score prediction in all my self-centered glory here, it's gonna be us by a touchdown...

well if we win out and wake loses to miami clemson loses to fsu which are all very likely we are 2nd in the division and tanerine bowl at worse(assuming vt/miami loseris picked to the peach bowl above us but if vt loses tonight they will be playing in a january bowl and we'll be peach free). also keep in mind that bowls love to pick teams that have good following and a good finish to the season.

Just now got back to a computer and I've gotta say:

OH MY GOODNESS BEST DAY OF THE SEMESTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't be happier, this was HUGE. We GAVE them chances to win and our defense held strong. I'm just so upset that our team gets so pumped against FSU but won't get up against teams like UNC. The past is the past and all, but this proves the potential is there all the way around. We need to win out to be proud of this entire season though, but that loss to UNC just plain bites.

Ah well, I'm gonna enjoy this. If we beat BC next weekend I'll really be on a high

see, i knew this would happen. All you dick & bandwagon riders' have mounted up again on the Chuck

mobil. Stone did not win the game for us, we still suck, Chuck is still a horrible coach, and the pattern

continues. We manage a horrible season, with one upset and its HOORAY HOORAY. Im happy that we

won today. But sad to say, we won't play like this for the rest of the season. Really, im not pleased

with the way we played today. If it wasnt for the heroics of one running back, we lose!!!
