Does anyone know how this accident happened. We just rolled through there and noticed the retaining wall and building at Canine Tech (across from Lineberry) and Trailwood was damaged. I would be interested in knowing how something as crazy as that happened. Thanks.

It looks like the damage on the house was probably caused by that tree (which was then cut down and mostly removed?) or possibly some flying debris like one of the concrete blocks from the wall or something from the car.. The car probably lost alot of velocity as it slammed into the wall and hit it's breaks, it barely moved over the embankment and wasn't moving fast when it hit the heatpump.

The loud noise was probably generated by the car slamming into the wall vs. the building.

Good call on that Grace, but are you showing the car hitting the heat pump? I don't see how the rock bouncing away from the wall would have been able to cause the heat pump to get pushed up toward the house with no visible damage on the top of it.

I bet the car did hit the heat pump, albiet with very little velocity at that point, and then backed up and drove off in the path you indicated.

(not sure if this is shown in your picture or not, but it appears you are saying the rock did the damage to the heat pump).

the skid marks on the side walk are going away from the building from it being drug across the sidewalk, there's a pile of debris on the edge of the road indicating this.

i'd say it coulda been the block that hit the building but I don't think that's one of those that you've circled in that pic, i believe it was part of the car (can't remember)
