trying to install something and auto run comes on, i choose "install" and i get the following:
C:\Windows\System32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-dos or windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate this application.

yeah, what program is it? you can follow the instructions from that link incognegro gave you, which sounds like a pain in the ass (for someone not used to doing crap at the command prompt)... but you could also probably find a newer software that would meet your needs and not be a bitch to use.

am i supposed to put WINDOWS instead, b/c later in the info it tells me to put these new files in the %SYSTEMROOT%\System32 folder, which doesn't seem to exist. 11/5/2005 6:35:09 PM |

I think so, just put windows where it says system root. also, you could try this program:
