it seems every year we have one thing and not the other(good d then rivers becomes great and no d(after the great season) then rivers leaves and the d is great brown comes and will the d still be great for the rest of his carreer?). right now we seem to have almost everything together but its a little late. alot of seniors wont be here. we'll have brown and a decent defense at worst but will we have wrs? will we have an o-line? will we fill the shoes of hoyte lawson williams and other defenders to be a great d? will stone or a freshman step up to be a good qb? kicker? punter? will stone play mistake free and make a few plays here and there like tonight? will we have a qb step up and be good?

we dont play vt and i dont think we play miami either.

It would be nice if williams stayed. I mean if he played another year, he would not only possibly be on a very good team, but his draft potential would skyrocket even more.

I think stone will be good next year after working with the coaching staff. he has flashes of really good play like his zinger to brian clark tonight. all he has to do is work out the kinks which I hope he can do in these next 3 games and in the offseason.

What the hell...the O-line is actually young, and Curtis Crouch is actually seeing some PT right now. They should actually be much better next year. The D will lose some playmakers, but our safties will be there. The WR's at least have playing experience...Barrett and Dunlap...idk about behind them though. Deraney is a junior though dude, and Stone will at least have experience and another great crew of RB's behind him.

daraneys going to the draft fool!

nah my bad i thought he was a senior. if we could trade some hbs for a qb that would be tight.

i see a few srs on the oline when they introduce them its not like it matters. i rather get some bigger guys in there anyway. we miss colmer. we need to play blackman at wr like bush.

^^^i hope... williams tyler mccargo moses would be a great dline

^ Willie Young is a RS Freshman I do believe

Well, the Oline is pretty veteran... but the people that are young are really more talented. Actually.... Kline and whats-his-face are both JUCO so they're kinda veteran too.

Crouch has been fairly impressive... and I think our OLine will be okay.

Don't forget experienced corners. Hudson will hurt... but AJ is playing well... Gray, Sutton, et. al. are getting a lot of experience and are actually really talented players (In otherwords... we're replacing these players with younger, more raw... yet more talented players)

Hudson is a great player, but overall... I think the talent will be better. Experience is the key though

I also think the PT for Stone is good for us. Mario will probably go... that will be huge, but we are fairly talented at DE (DAMMIT I WISH PETERSON AND GREEN HAD FUCKING QUALIFIED...like I said, I'd heard these two had the potential to be better than Mario/Manny combo)

I doubt McCargo will go with the injury

I think losing Hoyte will be a huge blow. I thikn we lose Lowery too... Someone will have to step up big... I hope Vogt is him because I've heard he's pretty impressive. He wont be as good as Ollie right away, but maybe after a few games he can fill up the middle (I'm pretty sure he's MLB anyways?)

^I actually think only 2 of the guys on the O-line are graduating that start. I'm not sure...yeah they are veterans, but thats what I meant by that statement.

I really like the way the young corners are playing though. I know Hudson is always on the opposing teams #1 receiver, but they really seem to know whats going on.

Well.... lemme rephrase that.

I don't mean our Oline is veteran really... as you know we had an entire OLine class last year (Something like 8 Olinemen signed)

I mean... the best is yet to come. The Oline will be a lot better and deeper when these guys grow up.

I guess that's what I'm trying to say.... so I'm not really worried about the Oline. I kinda forgot we were talking about next season... that's more of a "down the road" statement.

Regardless of who we lose, I think we have capable (If not better/younger) talent to fill in. New players are always going to emerge. It's really just a matter of experience level when they step into that starting role IMO

heh, yeah... Morris is so talented, but so undisciplined and stupid.

You hate to bench a guy of his calibre... he seriosly is one of the best tackles in the ACC/East Coast (as far as NFL prospects).... he just does stupid shit.

He could be a hell of a player if he actually could grow up and learn not to get stupid penalties and mood swings

He has been much better over the last few games. I watched the first quarter of the clemson game on DVR just to see what we fucked upon...one of his false starts was kinda bogus. Herbstreit actually said that Morris probably wasnt early...he just got into his stance so much quicker than everyone else, he looked like he jumped early. who knows though...the UNC game was terrible for him, and nobody should EVER have a game like that, no matter who you are.

I think that whole "he's so fast off the line" thing is BS

I mean, I don't know all there is to know about playing OLine... and maybe that does happen in some cases.... but I just don't buy that. I know theoretically what it means, but to me it just sounds like an excuse.

Oh well, either way he draws a lot of yellow, but yes, he has been better these past few games
