Quote : | "OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK ANDRE BROWN, NORTH CAROLINA STATE Freshman, Running Back, Greenville, NC/Greenville Rose
Freshman running back Andre Brown rushed for 179 yards on 26 carries and one touchdown as North Carolina State upset ninth-ranked Florida State, 20-15. Brown's 65-yard touchdown run 17 seconds into the game gave the Wolfpack (4-4, 2-4 in the ACC) the start they needed against the Seminoles. After totaling just 42 rushing yards through the team's first six games, Brown has now rushed for 427 yards in his last two contests - both NC State victories. In addition, North Carolina State is the only team in the Atlantic Coast Conference to have beaten Florida State on their home field - having now done it twice." |

GG Andre, I can now proclaim you the best thing to happen to NCSU football since Rivers. We were so caught up in finding another phenom of a qb that we fans overlooked the running game (at least I did). We were let down with TA's rushing attack and wanted another Rivers. What a hell of a 2 weeks Andre has had. 11/6/2005 1:10:14 PM |

how so?
we have 3 running backs
Andre played a few snaps at the beginning of the season...blackman and baker got most of the plays
baker and blackman could run over 4 yards a play
how'd we overlook the run if it wasn't working for us?11/6/2005 1:24:23 PM |

Yeah, he does...
He kind of looks like ricky williams running. I think it's because they both take short strides.

^I dont think so...he might have been diving for the tackle, and Brown hit him at the right time, but it was just a NASTY stiff arm. Thats by far better than Bakers hit vs. EKU. I just watched it like 8 times in a row. I started laughing after about 3 times cause it just looks funny.
...actually...I really think brown just threw him to the ground. Brown actually puts his hand on him for a second or two and forces him down. shoulda gone for his knees.

watching it again, I wanna reiterate(sp?) that the kids speed is amazing. this is the second big run that comes to mind where brown outruns every DB on the field, the first being against usm. the one against usm became a footrace and brown left all the db's in the fucking dust. does anyone have that vid? 11/6/2005 11:35:37 PM |

just thinkifhe started in thevt game we might be 7-1 with him approaching 2000 yards. btw hes on pace to get 1000 yards while missing the first half of his first season!!!
220 vs somiss 180 vs fsu =200ypg=400 yds 3-4 more games against <or= run ds =600 to 800 more yards = 1000 to 1200 total on the 5-6 game season

Good find from the article.
^Apparently in the article they are saying Brown is the only reason we are winning.
Quote : | "Well, since N.C. State coach Chuck Amato handed Brown the ball last week, he's rushed for 427 yards and three TDs, and the Wolfpack stands at 2-0. Remember, Brown's production has come in LESS than two full games against two tough defenses. Think about the numbers he could have put up in one game against Duke." |

^^^moron. marcus does exactly what we need him to do. win. that's it. how does he do it? by protecting the ball. we know he pretty much sucks. but he's better than jay b/c he doesnt give the other team the ball.
