Just thought I would let everyone know that you can get tickets to our opening round game vs unc-ch for only $5. This is very cheap and the team will love to see as many fans there as possible. Even though carolina is rank 6th in the ACC they are 4th in the nation, so a home crowd for us will be huge. The game earlier in the season with them was one of the most exciting games i have ever witnessed.
The tickets are on sale at the door and they are good for all 4 games tomorrow and 1 tonight. So make sure you make it out to SAS and support our 12th rank soccer team.

I think he may mean a 6th seed (heck if I know...)
If so that'd probably be different 11/8/2005 5:07:04 PM |

your both right. unc is the 6th seed in the tournament and sixth in the acc. soccer polls dont mean a damn thing, just like other college sports. they always fuck something up.
by the way Indiana will win the ncaa in soccer 11/8/2005 6:49:38 PM |

^^^i didn't feel they surprised anyone. watching them over the last few years i never thought they were a poor team. i had expected them to go farther this year, seeing as how they were playing much better than in years past.
looking forward to ncaa's now...hope we can step it up there 11/9/2005 9:26:58 PM |

Carolina dominated the whole game, and State was getting frustrated as shit near the end and kept making stupid fouls/passes/everything 11/9/2005 10:30:54 PM |

Quote : | "DISSAPOINTING soccer team, sigh" | Hopefully you meant dissapointing game. NCSU is the #12 team in the nation and lost on a free kick goal to the #4 team in the nation. I agree that they did not play nearly as well as they should but they have had an incredible year; thats not over yet. They will definatly make the NCAA and have a shot at hosting a first round game. Hopefully as a school we can represent them better in the stands, if anyone has ever been to any other acc teams games, nc state has by far the worst fan support in the confrence.11/9/2005 11:16:25 PM |

I was disspointed in State's strategy, I talked to a buddy of mine who starts for Carolina and he thinks State is really athletic, but plays a weird style where we load up the Defense and hope for a turnover so we can send it down field to Aaron King, which he said is good when it works but it doesnt give us very many scoring chances! 11/10/2005 12:56:35 AM |

^ Yeah, single man runs vs at least 4 defenders don't really work that well.
Plus it looked like we couldn't run an offside trap to save our lives. 11/10/2005 7:16:40 AM |

A king is good, but your right he cant beat 4 defenders everytime. As for fan base it is because the mass at state doesnt like soccer. You can tell that from this message board, not many threads about soccer.
skumstea who do you know that starts. my best friend plays for them and I know alot of them through him. 11/10/2005 9:20:30 AM |

We are THE #14 seed. Important distinction if you're expecting the basketball format, as "a #14 seed" makes us sound shitty. The top 16 teams in the tournament are seeded and get first round byes. 11/14/2005 5:48:07 PM |
