I took petrovich freshman year for ch101 and got an A+. As long as you do the webassign, and the old tests, you'll be fine. I didn't even have the book. 11/9/2005 5:32:11 PM |

Well there is a counterpart to such a generic degree idea in that ncsu offers a MA in Liberal Studies.
http://www.grad.ncsu.edu/catalog/prg.asp?id=LS
Quote : | "Admissions Requirements: Students entering the master's program in liberal studies must have an undergraduate degree. In addition to the material required by the Graduate School, students applying are asked to submit a statement describing their objectives in doing a degree in liberal studies and a writing sample. GRE scores are not required. All applicants are interviewed." |
Its sounds pretty competitive though.11/10/2005 11:33:43 AM |

I recommend Neyhart for CH101, he was a real nice guy. I had Warren for CH201, he was fairly difficult but I managed to get an A in his class. Don't listen to anyone who bitches about him, if you go to class everyday and read the book you will be fine. 11/10/2005 3:16:39 PM |

It's not set who is teaching CH101 next semester (Spring '06), but I know Canelas is.
I'm casting my vote for Canelas. She makes me laugh and can explain difficult concepts with easy-to-remember analogies. 11/17/2005 5:31:39 PM |

Chemistry is the best subject at the university. The faculty here is amazing, and you should take advantage of that by attending the class of a full time professor.
I recomend Bowden or the other dude 11/19/2005 2:15:36 AM |

Does Bowden still teach it?
He seemed like such a happy pyro. I was so torn between attending his last day of lecture and not---- anticipating a great goodbye experiment... and fearing for my safety.
I attended.. and it was splendid.. though I don't recall half a decade ago what it was he did... but i distinctly remember the look of fear on the face of the gentleman who sat next to me. It made the entire course worthwhile.
