I just got a new phone from Verizon (AC630). It's not "Get it now!" equipped, because I was unaware I'd need that silliness just to download ringtones.

However, Verizon's website says I should still be able to download them, and my phone has a "my downloads" option when selecting ringtones. I downloaded a ringtone off their website, my phone told me it had been downloaded, yet I'm still unable to access "my downloads" when choosing a new ringer.

Clearly this phone was designed to download ringtones, graphics, etc... Does anyone know how? The default ringers suck.

I would search the web. My old phone (LG-VX4400) had a data cable you could get from radioshack. Then you could download bit pim to your computer and transfer stuff free. It also allowed you to import conatcts from your computer to the phone.

I'm about to take the pos back. It said on the box that it had all the Get it Now, ringtone, display jazz, but it has nothing of the sort.

After more looking around, people have called Verizon about this, and their answer was bascially "That's too bad."

Now I have to drive all the way back to Greensboro to get something else.

you can't buy ringtones on the web for VZW - you most likely bought a ringback tone if you purchased a song online

Its their latest add on charge. When someone calls you they don't hear a normal phone ring, instead they hear your shitty taste in music.

Again, Verizon Wireless does not have push content for sale anywhere on the web. Yes, ringbacks are an add on service that is optional and you don't get charged for unless you register and order it.

can't you just text your email and see what the address is? at my job they send emails to me and another coworker as texts. just need us to send a text to email address first to get our address to send texts

I can. And I have known my address for years. Emailing the vtext.com or vzwpix.com hasn't worked since Friday.

I saw some people on twitter comment over the last few days that it hasn't been working. possibly because too many people are using it to send spam emails as texts.

yes which is pretty much worthless. i don't care about being able to email someone from my phone's texting app. i'll just email them from my phone's email app. what i do care about is certain email subject lines, keywords etc that were previously being sent to me as texts now no longer are. and i'm apparently not the only one:
