I've got a really annoying virus on my computer, anyone know what to do?

Every now and then random icons will be downloaded onto my desktop, with titles such as Jam, Babe of the Week, Get Hip, Smile, California Girls, and Wild or Mild. Also, it won't load some of my web pages, and when i run Spybot S&D it just seems to freeze up my computers, and Norton can't seem to find any viruses.

THanks a lot, it's starting to get really annoying.

boot into safe mode and run antivirus, spybot, adaware, etc

1)Unplug from internet
2)Backup important file onto CD/thumbdrive/etc...
3)Reformat and reinstall windows
4)Update and patch windows/AV prigrams/anti-spyware programs
5)Reconnect to internet
