Ok, so it seems every time I try to email my advisor, I never get any kind of response. Sometimes I'll send another email asking if they received it and get the reply "well, I didnt get that other email so I can't respond" or "oh, your email went into my spam filter", or they'll just ignore me again. I mean, when I email any other professor in this university, they reply within a few days, but this is the 3rd advisor/prof. I've had this problem with in the history dept. Does anyone else have this problem with them?

Its really bothersome b/c a) I'm a history major and b) i'm on exchange right now, so I can't exactly go to their office.

There's no way a spam filter is going to block a unity account.

The trick to getting through to your advisor is to place this in your subject line:

*** ATTENTION NEEDED: ADVISEE IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE ***

or maybe:

*** OBJECTIVE PROOF THAT BUSH LIED ***

and then start the body with "lol, jk."

Forward the original from your sent mail folder with a rolling eyes attached to it. Not getting it and not paying attention to it are two different things ... hate it when somebody lies and says they didn't get it.

If an email from a single unity account to another unity account is getting marked as spam, you need to ask them to forward you AND the help desk the message thats marked. Most likely, its likely affecting more than just you.

Being busy and being ignored are two different things. I know one of my major advisors would get back to me by the end of the week ... the other in 2 days ... different people have different time constraints. If you aren't being answered in 5 days ... see them in person and ask them honestly whats up.

Does his email have CHASS in it? If so, it's not a UNITY account, and the CHASS spam filter is horrendous. It filters half of the stuff that it shouldn't.

Don't know about Kalinga, but that's some shit. Be sure to let Norene know what happened, and tell her in person.
