for the Ix of the given sections i got 4(1.32e6 + 1.36e3(109.5^2)), did any one else get this and if not how did you do it thanks

here was my entire equation Ix=((1/12)(75)(20^3))2 + ((1/12)(15)(275^3)) + the equation from the first post does this look right

I can't see the problem, but do you need to use the paralell axis theorom on it?


You've got the Ix part... but do you need to use 1/12 bh^3 + Ad^2 ?


Just a though.... like I said... I have absolutely no idea what the section looks like you're trying to find

yeah you have to use the parallel axis theorem, but all i have to look for is Ix and i guess i need to due something else to my formula
