i'm pretty sure its threads like these as to why i've heard the addage "fantasy football killed the sports fan" or something to that effect

Fantasy has probably added "fans" to the NBA and NFL...and by "fans" I mean people that just watch the games (to see how their fantasy players do).

I'm a fantasy player...but I also watched NFL and NBA before I started to play. But I will watch a random game because if it has a fantasy player in it...whereas beforehand I might not watch the game at all.

fantasy sports and every fan thinking they're a fucking gambler have begun to ruin sports
