well look at how he plays...he wouldn't fit in AT ALL...he's a run and gun shoot when I can see the goal type of guard. it wouldn't fit for us, so it's for the better, but he looks really, really good against possibly the best defense in the country...

duke plays well together on D because they are coached well. They are not great individually on D except maybe for shelden. when you see reddick making big plays on D rest assured it is not his talent, but the rest of the team being where they are supposed to be. That is not the definition of great.

I'll go ahead and predict an upset. Memphis will beat Duke. Say what you want, but I'm not sold on Duke. I'm one for one on upsets so far (Florida over Wake), and wouldn't mind going 2 for 2.

I meant since they won the title in '92 they have been overrated. Does anyone really believe that Melachioni would start for the Pack? C'mon, these guys have huge holes in their rotation, mostly at the 3 and 4. I'd take UCONN or Gonzaga over Duke right now, and by the end of the year there will be about 10 teams better than Duke. Don't believe the hype just because Dickie V loves Duke.

so you think this is the worst duke team in 10 years? this is a down year in talent throughout the rest of the nation and duke has finished in the top 10 all these years in a row. duke was overated in 2001? what about the team that had 1 acc loss and the team that went udnefeated in the acc? what about 99? 02?

melchioni doesnt start for duke. news flash: no team has 2 solid players at all 5 positions not even uconn or gonzaga. at the 3 and 4 positions duke has nelson mcroberts melchioni and pocius. if the talent of those 4 guys is the only weakness then this is a great team. melchioni and nelson have proven that they can step up and take over in a big game. pocius and mcroberts are freshman but the fact the mcroberts wouldve been a first round draft pick says enough about him and pocius also has the tools to be a great player. there are only 2 teams you could even argue to have more talent than duke and thats uconn and texas.

you are simply a duke hater if you seriously beleive there will be 10 teams better than duke by the end of the year.

AJB is obviously the dumbest poster ever. Duke was overrated when they won the championship in 2001? Duke was overrated last year when they won something like 16 or 17 games before losing? Duke was overrated when they beat State twice last year?

It always is annoying to me when Duke doesn't play amazingly and people suddenly jump all over them like they suck. Even if they don't have great games against teams like Drexel and Boston University, they still find ways to control the game and pull out the win. They might not look amazing, but in the end they don't lose very often. That is what has made them a solid basketball program for the last 15 years. It is also what a team like NC State has lacked. Don't get me wrong, State has had some great basketball programs over the last 15 years too, but Duke consistently finishes the season near the top with only a few losses. A team as consistent as Duke is not "overrated."

A. I looked on their schedule to see potential matchups in that tournament before they got to playing each other when I guessed that.

B. I didn't say I was sold on Memphis either. They have the athleticism and depth to compete in this game. I do believe they will beat Duke. If this game was in January, when this team has gelled, then I wouldn't pick Memphis. But right now, I pick Memphis.
