by percent capacity with 102.77%. Just imagine where we would be ranked without the MTSU game, which wasn't included in the season ticket package and if the UMD game wasn't scheduled during the Thanksgiving break.

http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/Internet/attendance/IA_CAPACITY.pdf

In other standings we were ranked #28 based on total attendance with 370476, and #37 based on average attendance with 52925, which again was hurt by the MTSU game.

The highest attended game was the Clemson game which had 57,500 fans attend.

Those past three years before the Vaughn Towers we listed our permanent capacity at 51,500.

52925 is below our permanent seating capacity of 53,x00. They're basing it off the 51,500 figure we've kept for the last billion years. (Vaughn Towers adds ~2,000 permanent seats that should be accounted for.)

isn't the NEZ supposed to add around 7k+ to the current capacity?

I think it adds a net of like 4,000

Something like 7,000 seats - 3,000 lawn seats = 4,000 seat net to total capacity

NEZ will be about 7000 total.

But will take away 2000 from the grass seats.
and 400 from the band seats.
and 4000 from the temporary bleachers.

So it'll be a small change in capacity after it's done.

WPC is claiming about 60,000+ after it's done. (the numbers don't add up)

every school has a thanksgiving break. so i would imagine that others are hurt just as much.

the hit we took against MTSU had a lot more to do with the opponent than the week of November.

we were at 52,312 for the UMD game

On the South side (Murphy Center), the temp bleachers will be removed and either 1 or 2 new scoreboads will be erected. Current talk is that there will be 2 of them, one on each side of the Murphy Center. Can't have those temp bleachers or upper decks where they will block the new scoreboards.

On the North side, the endzone stands will be filled in up to the same level as the normal lower deck. The concourse will be completed around the back of those stands with snazzy new bathrooms and concessions and entrance gates and stuff like that. There is the distinct possibility that there will be a few rows of "permanent bleachers" installed above the stands. Just a few rows, but all the way across the width of the field. More permanent than what we have now, but nothing so permanent that they couldn't be replaced eventually if needed.

I'm always amused by how you can have more than 100% to capacity.

The crowd seemed really good yesterday. I'm sure the upper level of section 15 was empty as hell, and the endzone student section wasnt full, but overall there seemed to be a decent number of people there considering it was over the break. I havent had that much fun at a football game since Miami and OSU last year.

It seemed loud as fuck for the entire second half after we took back the lead, although the rest of the game wasnt too shabby. Considering our favorite activity yesterday was giving up the 3rd and a mile, I'd say our fans were great while we were on D.

This is another one of those manufactured stats that nobody cares about. So you fill up your little stadium with more than it can hold. Big deal
