if you have the right cable you could make the screen show up on your laptop like it's a presentation and transfer them to a disk or something...or if you have the files shared you could connect them with an ethernet cable and get them that way i guess 11/28/2005 9:10:16 PM |

easiest would possibly be to get an external drive case for the desktop's hdd, given the desktop doesnt have a monitor.. 11/28/2005 9:22:59 PM |

How "old" is the desktop? What operating system is on it? Does it have a CD burner of any sort? Does it have USB? Does it have an ethernet port on it? What operating system is on the laptop?
Couple options:
1) External USB Case. Put your desktop hard drive in an external USB case and hook that up to a laptop USB port. Probably not the best option.
2) Monitor + Remote Desktop. Borrow a monitor from a roommate/suitemate/somebody in your apartment complex and setup remote desktop on your laptop. Be wary of what network you plug your old computer though.
3) Monitor + USB Stick. If your old desktop has USB, this would be the easiest route. 11/29/2005 7:02:35 AM |
