Exactly. More and more conservatives are starting to oppose Bush. Have you seen those poll numbers lately? His approval is hovering around 30% ("officially"). It's probably really lower than that. Is it "conservative" to support torture?

If you are a true conservative, you must oppose Bush and the republicans.

Yes the economy is growing but how are families doing? The economy could be growing like gangbusters but that doesn't mean that more people aren't earning less in income when adjusted for inflation over the past several years.

Iraq is a whole other story. We have removed one threat and replaced it with another. This is a zero sum. Iraq is a work in progress. No victory has been gained there. Even in the President's definition of victory, we are not there. If we walked away today, the region would be in worse shape that it was when we got there in the first place in terms of our security and regional stability.

All the "great" things Bush has done? LIKE WHAT? The economy is "GREAT"??!! WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE. What planet are you living on? Manufacturing jobs are disappearing from America thanks to "outsourcing" due to those great "free trade" policies that remove tarriffs which protect American workers. Wages are being driven down in once well-paying sectors such as construction and manufacturing due to MASSIVE illegal immigration. Americans are more in debt than ever. The national debt has been jacked up 3 trillion dollars under bush to over 7 trillion. The middle class is disappearing. GM has to cut tens of thousands of jobs because people can't buy their vehicles any more. Gas prices have skyrocketed. Home prices have skyrocketed over the last 3-5 years. This is due to inflation because too much money is being borrowed and printed.

Oh, and the Iraq war is "so great and wonderful." The war THAT BUSH INTENTIONALLY LIED AND MISLED THE PUBLIC ON?! I guess killing 100,000 Iraqis was "great" too? And torturing prisoners and raping women at Abu Ghraib is "great". Tortue is "good", right? Cheney says so.

And let's not forget that Bush has done NOTHING to stop the massive flow of illegals into the country (even after 9/11). He's even proposing an amnesty plan for them with his new phony "immigration reform" proposal.

Bush (and the Congress) are destroying this country. Clinton did too. All these politicians are controlled. It's sad that people buy up this propaganda bs coming from the government and the media about how everything is just fine...the economy, the war, heck even torture is good.
