Fulmer wont get fired. you win a national championship and have the highest active winning percentage you wont get fired after one horrible season... now, if he has two back to back... 11/29/2005 7:02:17 PM |

not to sound cynical, but do you think Amato would ever say/do anything like that? Admit to his fans that a season was unacceptable? 11/30/2005 8:28:09 AM |

We get the quarterback, we get the O-line, we win games. Bottom fucking line. I'm not jumping on the fire Amato bandwagon, but obviously Fulmer has a higher reputation at TN than Amato has here. If Amato had that kind of reputation; if ANYBODY had that kind of reputation, why wouldn't they appologize to fans? Anybody with common sense knows the turnover rate for losing coaches is extremely high. 11/30/2005 8:48:35 AM |

Well we were one loss away from finishing with the same record as Tennessee. My point is that the Tennessee Alumn and Fans were upset at Fulmer...and he apologized for letting them down. He actually took some responsibility for their poor showing this year. Chuck came under some serious heat this year by fans, alumni, and the press...and he pretty much threw up his middle finger in response. 11/30/2005 9:46:11 AM |

We also weren't predicted to be competing for the NC (by anyone grounded in reality, that is).
UT's season is WAY more of a disappointment to them.11/30/2005 10:01:35 AM |

^ yeah, I agree totally. But I do think Fulmer stepped up and did what was right, he could have easily been like "fuck you all, I won a national championship, I am the best recruiter outside of Pete Carroll, I had one shitty year, deal with it bitches, dont complain" etc. but he totally admitted that it was a horrible year, huge let down, total waste of top 3 talent etc. 11/30/2005 2:21:10 PM |
