Quick question, I'm running a dual channel setup on my computer of 2X256 mb PC 3200 sticks. I need to upgrade my ram, I have three slots and my mobo supports up to 1.5gb. I'm thinking about picking up a 1 GB ram stick to throw in the last slot. Is this an allright plan, or would I be better off (with cost in mind) if I put 2X512 in the dual channel slots and one 512 in the single channel slot?

If I do the former, I only need to buy 1X1002 mb stick if I do the latter, I need to buy 3X512 sticks.

Any ideas or suggestions?

youll need to post your motherboard model so people can figure out what exactly it supports

if i recall correctly, some motherboards can do dual channel with 3 sticks, or with different memory quantities.
