he is a free agent hat was gone from Boston after this season, if you run the ship the way Boston management did, you won't hold on to superstar talent for long 11/30/2005 10:38:02 PM |

the Bruins got three good players (Sturm is very good), BUT the Sharks still won that trade
I cannot fucking believe they traded their future and their present all at once. 11/30/2005 10:47:54 PM |

This makes me angry No excuse for this, this does nothing to make me think management knows what the fuck they're doing. 11/30/2005 10:53:45 PM |

this seems like one of those moves that may keep the bruins competitive but definitely takes away from title chances... players like thornton make the difference come playoff time... 11/30/2005 11:00:34 PM |

I'm sure this has something to do with the cap, according to TSN's list boston is just above $38million before the deal 11/30/2005 11:22:26 PM |

if you want to lower the cap number, then don't trade Thorton, whenever something goes wrong with the Bruins, the front office blames Joe. He played hurt in the played and the front office says "OMG THORTON CHOKED", now they are in dire straights and "sorry Joe you are struggling this year and 11th in the league in points is not good enough" Thorton deserved better. If they wanted to free up cap room, get rid of Zhamnov or the ultra streaky Samsonov. Thorton was Boston's Corner Stone 12/1/2005 1:08:48 AM |

Canes have been on a skid of Late, I wonder if we could get Staal for Martin Skoula, Niko Kapanen and Steve ott 12/1/2005 1:24:40 AM |

^if you think the Canes would trade Staal then you're nuts...they've pulled idiotic trades in the past, but I don't foresee him being part of one (for now...), esp. because at this point in time he's a bargain for what he's doing
