1. NCSU schedules cupcake teams (granted many were picked up as fillers late); ECU plays a cupcake schedule. Being in the ACC, NC State could schedule 3 High School teams for it's non-conference schedule and still play more good teams than ECU.

2. State won more games.

3. Nobody is claiming State had a stellar season, they simply aren't a gutter-dwellar like ECU.

4. Last year ECU played State's worst team in years. Yeah, I think we saw how that turned out.
