I just ordered an XM Radio last week, got a confirmation number and was told (via email, so I know they have the right address) that I would be emailed when the radio shipped out.

Well its been a week, and no email. Whats even better is that the confirmation number that I've been given doesn't work on their website.

I've emailed them with no response, tried to call them but was put on hold for over an hour so I gave up.

Anyone else have to deal with these people? Should I cancel my order? (my account was of course, debitted the very same day I placed the order)

on hold for over an hour?!!?

not to sound like a sirius biggot, but when my annual plan expired last month, i called up, and went to the billing line. there was no wait in line (as i'd expect for any billing) gave them a new cc#, and they said it'd take about 5 minutes for the signal to hit my receiver and reactivate. drove around for 10 minutes and called back going to the tech support line. the wait was about 2 minutes (on a saturday at 6 PM, which surprised me), and dude resent the signal. rebooted my receiver and i was up and running.

the year before, they called me before my service was interrupted. i was expecting that this year, but wasn't too disappointed. maybe i just missed it.

anyone had any horror stories of sirius customer service?

well to be honest, I'd rather be on sirius, but my gf forwarded me an invite to join her plan for $6.99 a month and a pretty good deal on a receiver so I bit.

ive never had a problem with XM... I just added another radio to my plan (that makes 3 total) and had no problems getting them activated or getting to a customer service representative.

Try calling them back, maybe you just got lost in the queue (phone system glitch?). The most I've ever had to wait was 5 minutes, and that was right after Christmas last year.

I just ordered XM a couple of weeks ago myself and I never got one of those confirmation emails either, but everything was shipped to me within 7 days. The one time I did call customer service someone picked up right away.
