I may have missed it but has he actually came out and said why he wants out? He's playing on a good team, making good money, and always looks like he his having fun while playing. 12/5/2005 2:53:34 PM |

How many Dominicans live in Boston? Um.. Not many.
That's always been the main reason he's at least stated he would like to play somewhere with a bigger latino community. 12/5/2005 3:37:55 PM |

Because boston sucks as a city
the people there care ONLY about the red sox. it is impossible to lead even a somewhat normal life as a baseball player there. 12/5/2005 3:42:00 PM |

^^^ It's a privacy issue. He doesn't want to come to New York even though he is from Wash. Heights even..
^^ so true about people bothering him though. But he lives right damn downtown. If he got a place outside the city it wouldn't be NEARLY as bad..

if he'd be willing to play for peanuts, florida would be perfect. huge dominican community, and nobody cares about baseball so he'd be left alone. 12/5/2005 3:51:56 PM |

^ I don't think Florida wants to take on any salary at this point, considering they've been holding a scrap sale this last month. I also don't think Boston is eager to swallow most of his contract and pay Ramirez to play at Florida. 12/5/2005 3:54:39 PM |
