I have been in war movie mood right here lately. Especially world war 2 and nam'. Some of the ones I have seen last month and this month so far:

Apocalypse Now
Platoon
Band Of Brothers (HBO miniseries)

other movies I have enjoyed:
U-571
Saving private ryan
Schindler's List
Full Metal Jacket

any other good war movies out that are worth watching?

Band of brothers is by far my favorite war "movie" even though it's a mini series

The Thin Red Line was WWII and great I thought.

Other than World War movies I actually liked The Patriot (Revolutionary War) pretty good.

The Great Escape
V: Victory at Sea
Life is Beautiful
Braveheart
Troy

I'd wish they'd make a movie on Napoleon or the Russian Revolution.

Oh, and for TV, Hogan's Heroes, hands down

Saving Private Ryan,
We were Soilders,
Enemy at the gates,
Full Metal Jacket,
Apocalypse Now,
Platoon,
Band Of Brothers,
Braveheart,
Troy,

Windtalkers is the worst movie I have ever seen simply because it failed at so many levels. I would watch almost anything over that.

Saving Private Ryan

Sergeant York, even though there isn't much fighting. Gary Cooper is the man.
The Great Escape. Steve McQueen. Enough said.

Absolutely my favorite. I can't believe it took that long to be listed.

Since Catch-22 hasn't been listed, I'll throw it out there...it's not as good as the book, but it's a decent movie.

The Thin Red Line has been overlooked
