This depends on so many factors. Could you be any less specific?

I really do love my iPod (I have a mini, but they don't make them anymore) even though they're popular and, as my dad puts it, my little brother "wants an iPod to have an iPod", I think it's worth it 12/7/2005 1:18:44 PM |

what about a non-apple MP3 player that's compatible with OSX and isn't an iPod 12/7/2005 7:31:54 PM |

those i listed above do that...they come up as a flash drive when you plug it in, no software/drivers required...drag and drop to put songs on it 12/7/2005 7:42:53 PM |

iPods are generally good from what I hear, unless theres a specific reason you dont want one (i.e. you dont want it because its popular, and you dont want to be like everyone else). Personally I have a Zen Micro (because I use Yahoo! Music with it, which iPod won't do), and its fantastic. My girlfriend has the Zen Nano (named long before the iPod nano), and she likes it as well. Heres a price/capacity chart below, pulled from Amazon.com. Enjoy!
iPod (60GB): $399 iPod (30GB): $299 Zen Vision (30GB): $379 Zen Sleek (20GB): $249 Zen Micro (8GB): $249 iPod Nano (4GB): $249 iPod Nano (2GB): $199 Zen Nano Plus (1GB): $109 Zen Nano Plus (512MB): $69
I only included Apple and Creative players, as these are the only ones I can confirm are good players. It really just depends on what your looking for, how much you want to spend, and how much music you need to hold. Any of these players will serve you well, so go with the one you like/can afford. Ideally, go to Best Buy, as they have most of these on display, and look at them in person to decide. I'm going to stop ranting now. 12/12/2005 2:25:36 AM |

anything with fewer than 20 gigs isn't worth your time. |
