i870 has a built in MP3 player, which is nice
however,
i930 has windows on it and a shitload of other features
does anybody have either of these? 12/7/2005 6:16:25 PM |

get a phone for talking, get a PSP or MP3 player for everthing else.
more shit on phone = more power used = shitty battery life = 12/7/2005 6:23:42 PM |

also, I believe the 930 has a full size SD port whereas the 870 uses that transflash thing 12/7/2005 6:27:18 PM |

also synchs to your wmplayer library if you use it.
if you want a phone that can do more stuff than just make calls, get a smartphone.
if you just want a phone that makes calls get whatever phone comes free with the plan. 12/7/2005 6:53:34 PM |

Just FYI: The i930 has to be de-certified before you can load most windows apps onto it...you can find more info on that process at the following URL: http://www.rebreathertech.com/decert/decert.htm or at Howardforums.com here: http://www.howardforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=306 The i930 can also be unlocked to work with other US GSM providers... The i870 is a good phone if you don't need all of the smartphone features... Let me know if you have any questions about Nextel phone software modding 12/7/2005 11:29:37 PM |

Again I invite you to read the above links...you will find out the i930 can be used here in the US

"Most Providers" does not include Sprint Nextel...Again if you had read the above links you would have found out why most i930 owners were upset that at first Sprint Nextel locked the i930 owners into using only apps certified by Sprint Nextel....believe it or not there is a BIG haxxor iden community and a few of these phone geeks got together and found out how to not only de-certifiy the i930 but also unlock it for US as well as international GSM use...hope this helps!
