to bad teams over the last two days. yay for our rpi.

Iowa lost to Iowa State after losing Horner during the game, he will be out for a few weeks.

Alabama lost to ND. On the other hand, maybe that means ND isnt as bad as they seemed. We better beat Alabama though.

While it is good for our current RPI that ND beat Bama, that loss will drop Bama in the polls. Wouldn't it have been better had Bama won last night and had a higher ranking when we play them, assuming of course that we beat them?

One game doesn't make a huge difference...

The Iowa loss kind of sucks, but it's not like good teams never lose games they shouldn't. ND over 'Bama isn't bad, if Bama keeps playing well.

One day won't have too much of an effect on the total season.

Iowa lost to Northern Iowa, not Iowa State.

It's okay to lose one early, if we learn from it so we don't make those mistakes again.

The reason those early losses last year (UDub, St. John's, WVU...) hurt so much was because we went into that downward spiral that lasted all through January, and we lost several games that we shouldn't have.

If that doesn't happen, then the Iowa loss doesn't hurt. If we do end up playing badly in the ACC, then yes, it will hurt.

nah, washington ended up being a good team last year. I have a feeling Iowa is going to suck big time though and kill our RPI.

The reason we were on the bubble last year wasn't because we lost to some good teams.

It was more because we couldn't show any really good wins...the sweep of GT was really the only big thing.

We had a losing record in ACC play. Thats why we were on the bubble.

A losing record in this year's ACC will not get us into the Dance.

Northern Iowa is not that bad of a team and have played Iowa tough the past three years. Northern Iowa has a legit chance to be a tourny team too so I wouldn't worry about Iowa's loss too much.

The game coming up against George Washington makes me more nervous. GWU reminds me some of Washington from last year in that they could just keep winning and suddenly be a top ten type team.
