On the gopack.com website they said they'll be demolishing the fieldhouse on Monday. I've got an exam at 1. Could someone go take pics? Also they have two pdfs. One showing the seats, how many there will be and the concourse, and the other showing the floorplan of what will be underneath the stands. If someone could get those images on here that'd be nice.

they had most of the upper level interior cleared before the UMD game. Then it was just a matter of how long it would take to clear the lower level....

Yay next year we will have the second largest football stadium in the state of North Carolina, after Bank of America Stadium. Also we'll have either the 5th or 6th largest stadium in the ACC depending on if our capacity is larger than UVA's which is between 60k-61k. But if you consider that UM hardly ever fills up there stadium then we move up a spot.

from what i understood the students and band would be in the beacher type seating near the field, the LTR's are in the red seats and then they can put in additional temp bleachers on the concourse as needed for bigger draw games

wouldnt that be under/facing away from the scoreboard...sounds like pretty shitty seats to me, having to turn around to see replays, intros, etc.

The lower section of the NEZ will be students and band. Students will also remain in the existing sections on the Southeast corner.
There will be 2 new video boards visible from the NEZ.

60K ?, that really pisses me off. Why can't we get atleast more seats in the NEZ and bring it up to around 65 k perm. seating?

I know I'm not footing most of the bill but temporary seating looks like ASS.

^there will be no temp seating as you know it, the "temp seating" above the bowled in section will be added as necessary based on ticket sales, and it will not look temporary, it will just look like metal bleachers that rise up from the bowl, (you should be happy to see these, it means we are selling a bunch of tickets),

they are building this thing with supports for a future deck, or permanent add-on that will rise up to just under the scoreboard level....and I think it is smart to do this in steps, if we added 15k seats, and 2 levels the stadium might look empty for the next couple of years

ok here's the figure i've calculated so far.

Official seating capacity of Carter-Finley Stadium is 53,570.
The lower bleacher seats is listed to add 1,994 seats.
The Red chair back seats will add 3,630.
The optional upper bleacher seats will add 1,630.

now does the 53,570 include the grass hill, or does it only include the actual permanent stands only?
