I think this would be a good idea becuase a lot of our parents live out of state. My parents live in MD, and I wouldnt mind taking someone up to the DC area whenever I went....anything to make that boring ass drive go by a little faster. 2/21/2002 9:09:02 AM |

It would be a good idea, but the current rides format wouldn't support it. We could implement a text-based form to let users select cities and states.
But designing a graphic to cover the entirety of the US would be way too difficult.
And what's next? The world!

yeah find me a map that i really like with just 1 or 2 pixel outlines of the states and i'll think about it. better make that map huge. like 4000x4000 pixels. of course we'll crop and zoom when needed.
the problem is hardly anyone every uses the damn thing anymore. that thing took me quite a while to create! 2/25/2002 2:31:14 PM |

Maybe you could just do a list of the states and then have people click on them and post where they are going.
ie. Alabama Arkansas . . . Wyoming
Then have a message board or something inside each of these links for people to post rides on. 2/25/2002 10:09:37 PM |
