though I wouldn't trust a word saddam says, I don't think, if he is being beaten, he shouldn't be. he should be fairly tried, just like every other human being

I know it. I read that GQ article. He loved Doritos and so the guards would give him a family sized bag when they could and he'd sit there and eat the whole bag.

I seriously doubt he's been touched. Saddam probably gets access to CNN and sees the shit that Bush is in for the supposed secret torture camps.

I have some rational reasons for it, too, but I don't deny that part of it is a simple desire to see bad things happen to bad people. For the most part, I don't let those kinds of things drive my decisions...but if they aren't at odds with my rational decisions, then all the better.


kind of like my choice of profession (although the desire to do bad things to bad people was a big factor in making that choice)

Um, as I recall Hitler ended up holed up in a bunker as his reich was destroyed, ultimately capping himself and having his body doused with gasoline and burned in a neighboring courtyard.
