i doubt many would have guessed he'd have been in the pro bowl at the beginning of this year (or even halfway through the season)

He was motivated this year being he probably signed only a 1 year deal. He didn't have to worry about a contract before this year. (See Carlos Beltran, Johnny Damon, Adrian Beltre) Money will enspire even the laziest slackers.

Plus the players made sure he was happy by taking him on full service cruises.

He could have been so much better.

It would have been really nice to have him a year or 2 more as well.

delhomme and Bledsoe over VIck????

You have lost your mind. Delhomme has been HORRIBLE this season.

Bledsoe has been typical Bledsoe... good numbers, average production

Brunell wasn't good the 2nd half of the season.

It should have been Hasslebeck #1 then either Eli or Vick #2/#3

come on dude

you are usually one of the most informed posters on here

please check out some of the nfl passing stats and then tell me Eli doesn't belong over Vick

stats are irrelevant to RallyDurham.

The fact that the Panthers offense has been higher-scoring and more efficient than the Falcons in spite of the fact that the Falcons have a much better running attack is irrelevant as well.

All that matters is that Vick = jesus

^^ um... I said Eli/Vick at #2 and #3

I even listed Eli ahead of Vick...

^ and dude be serious for a second. Atlanta's offense has clearly been better than the Panthers this season.

Yards per game? Atlanta 11th, Carolina 22nd

First downs? Atlanta 10th, Carolina 23rd

3rd down conversions? Atlanta 3rd, Carolina 5th

I'm just saying its crazy to think Delhomme was better than Vick this year.

Actually, its unfathomable.

Delhomme was BAD. He has four more turnovers than Vick for starters.

Steve Smith is responsible for making Delhommes numbers even appear reasonable this year... Give Vick a guy who acts like he's a Tecmo Super Bowl receiver and see if his numbers don't explode. Delhomme isn't the one who drafted Steve Smith, so don't act like he's responsible for his 80 yard touchdowns.

ask Panther fans how they feel about Delhomme this year.

there havent really been any good QB's in the NFC this year, hasselbeck was the best but after that no one really deserves it so they just went on the big names, eli has had a decent year but too many interceptions

Hello??????? Michael Vick???

He wasn't phenomenonal but he was still pretty damn good.

The Falcons have scored at will in a lot of games this year...

But yes, this was a down year for QB's across the board not just in the NFC... There are literally about ten teams that do not have a single QB that is starting material.

a) Scratch the Chicago game because that is one of the best defenses ever and in horrid conditions. Also, he did a good job keeping Atlanta in the game by playing a field position game and not making costly mistakes.

b) He dominated New Orleans so theres no point trying to act like he wasn't good that game.

c) He torched the league the first half of the season.

d) If it wasn't for Schaub losing to the Patriots and fumbling in the end zone against the Bucs, Atlanta would be playoff bound.

to the Vick scoring at will that comes in games where the competition was weak. New Orleans shouldn't be mentioned for looking at stats. Look at what Vick has done against good competition absolutley nothing. It doesn't really matter though nobody really cares about the pro bowl
