I really wish Microsoft would release some update for the 360 so that it's possible to play videos from external hard drives. That would be sweet.

I'm going to flip a coin and I would like it to land heads up.
Now I could just try it and see if it lands heads up or I could spend 3 hours trying to figure out if it will land heads up...

in the time it took you to post on the wolfweb about it you could have plugged it into your xbox and seen if it worked.

If you plug it in at the ms dash, there is a very real chance that it will be formatted. XBMC MIGHT recognize it as a drive. Good luck in anything else.

NeoEraser...you are right. It will require a format into FatX. You can not run xbe's from it and it's only USB1.1. Not very good for streaming movies but ok for mp3s. Thank you for your help. THis is the kind of answers that should be in Tech Talk...not "just plug it in." Bunch of fucking n00bs around here.

Quote :
"You'd have to format it in FATX when you plug it in to be able to use it. Also, it's USB 1.1, so it's incredibly slow. It will only show up as a giant memory card, meaning you can put pictures and music on it via file manager or FTP, but it wouldn't be any good for movies and you can't launch XBEs from it.

It's not worth it. Buy a 500gb drive."

guess i should stick with xbox-scene
