Hopefully our expectations will be a lot lower this year. That way we could actually be happy with a winning season and a bowl victory.

^Never accept mediocrity. Fire Herb for his team being #12 and being 11-1. Fire Amato for his team starting bad and winning 5 of its last 6.

Brent Schaeffer could make our season.

Even if we get BS, I am worried it'll be a repeat of 3 years ago. A potent offense and a young defense with a lot of holes.

I'd rather have that than an impotent offense and a defense full of holes.

^^but our QB was a senior that year and couldn't return when we had a stout defense the following season

what...its basically down to us and Wisconson right? Man, that would be nice. Of course we would probably just end up getting our hopes up...as previously stated. I kinda hope he stays away.

We picked up two WRs today, Carlos Everett and Darrell Davis. Everett is 6'2 and runs a 4.45. Finished the year with 1200+ yards. Davis is 6'5 and runs a 4.6. finished shy of 1000 yards on the season. That means we have

6'6 Kyle Newell
6'5 Geron James
6'5 Darrell Davis
6'4 Jamesly Jean
6'3 Carlos Everett
6'2 Owen Spencer
6'2 John Dunlap
6'1 Lamart Barrett
with possibilities of getting
5'10 LaMarcus Bond (fast mofo)

Umm.... we need Brent Schaeffer to throw to our tall ass receiving corp.

Brent Schaeffer is considering us, Ole Miss(Noel Mazzone), and Wisconsin mainly. Positives for us are a wide open spot to play. Negatives- we are losing a lot of talent, which he claims to not like too much. Positives for Ole Miss is Noel Mazzone. Negatives for Ole Miss is that they are Ole Miss. Wisconsin is in almost the same boat we are positive and negative-wise. Thinks he has the best chance of starting at Ole Miss, Kansas State, and Wisconsin though. Not a good sign.

They did.

He's still listing Ole Miss as one of his choices, though, from what I can tell.

I don't think that is the official schedule. Dates haven't been set for the games. Its just a list of next years opponets.

national champ AA school though, they played at LSU late in the season and only lost 24-0, which is better than Miami could do at a neutral site

not in order, but thats our list of teams. i also hate playing a divison 1aa, however, they are about the best of them we could play i guess.

I honestly think that 1AA team you are talking about could beat Duke or ECU. LSU had a lot of trouble with them. 24-0 is closer than FSU came. I wish ASU would play Duke or ECU. Hell didn't they almost beat Wake a couple of years ago?

well, they may be the champs, but still got crushed by 24+ by division 1 teams.

are we gonna be able to use an aa win towards bowl elgibility again? if so i think we will make a bowl. it will be a similar result of the season except more consistent mediocrity instead of really bad then really good

They played LSU pretty close, at LSU on their homecoming -- They were a pretty good team and I've heard they're the early pick to repeat next year. I bet ASU would be really excited to play an in-state D-1 school to try to boost some credibility, especially since they're considering making the D-1 jump in the near future. This isn't a normal 1-AA game like Richmond or Eastern Kentucky that we should take lightly
